For Future Generations

Our mission is to protect the water quality, natural resources and ecosystems of Pickerel Lake.

Promoting Conservation, Research, and Education

Water Quality Testing

While many factors in the Pickerel Lake Watershed area affect water quality, identifying them starts with an effective monitoring program.

Shoreline Restoration

After years of record high lake levels, many areas would benefit from shoreline restoration. Native plants, rip rap and local expertise can benefit your property and preserve our lake.

Lake-Friendly Living

This guide provides useful information about lake-friendly best practices for homeowners to protect the water quality of Pickerel Lake.
Aquatic Invasive Species

Aquatic Invasive Species

Watershed Protection Fund

The PLC Board established a separate fund to create a more friendly environment for water entering Pickerel Lake from our watershed.

Shoreline Survey Results

Working in partnership with NE Glacial Lakes Watershed Improvement and Protection Project,  the Shoreline Survey Results are wonderfully illustrated, including specific suggestions for shoreline management on your property.
